Republic Day Speech for Kids in English

Today we have gathered here to celebrate the 65th Republic Day of India. On this auspicious da,y I convey my greetings to all our countrymen and pray for the prosperity and overall development for our nation. It is a privilege that I got an opportunity to speak on this occasion.

You all know that we got independence on August 15, 1947. But we became a republic country when our constitution came into existence from January 26, 1950. Our constitution was prepared by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Dr. Rajendra Prasad became the first President of India and the first general elections were held in our country in 1952.

In the past 65 years,s our country has gone through many changes. The command of the country came into the hands of the people and India became a democratic country. Along with lots of development, there are some pitfalls that have also come in the way. Unemployment and corruption has grown up very fast. We should take a pledge to find a solution to these problems so that our country becomes the best place to live on earth.

Thank you

Jai Hind!

Good Morning dear friends. Today we are all assembled to celebrate our 64th  Republic Day. A day when we remember all our great leaders who have fought for the independence of our country. For our independence.  It’s because of them we are able to enjoy a free life today ruled by no one.

Leaders have proved that we can win the war without using guns and machines. By maintaining values, practicing ethics India has won a war over the British. India before Independence, celebrated 26th January as Republic day. But we got our independence on 15th August 1947. What happens to 26th Jan?  So on 26th January 1950, the constitution of India was formed and thereafter we have celebrated this day every year as Republic day.

Life for us has not been easy. We were very poor at the time of Independence. We have come a long way since then. We are now acquiring international companies, Our GDP growth is one of the best in the world at a time when the entire world was in recession, we have the best technicians in the field of IT, medicines, accounting and so on. It is the beginning of a new era. An Era of India’s growth. A country which the entire world is looking up to. This is the best time for India.

But then how does our country grow from here. Yes, it is us, you my friends are going to play a crucial role in the progress of our country. You are the backbone of our country’s future.

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands. Psalm 100: 1Respected Chief madam, Madam Principal, Vice Princteachers understand my dear friends. On this happy occasion of the 62
Republic day anniversary of India, I have great pleasure in extending my warm greetings and best wishes to my fellow citizens here.I would like to recall the words of our first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru in his message to the nation on January 26, 1950. He said, “Undoubtedly this is a day of high significance for India and the Indian people. It does mean the consummation of one important phase of our national struggle. That journey is over, to give place to another and perhaps more arduous journey. A pledge is fulfilled and the fulfillment of every pledge gives satisfaction and strength for your future endeavor.” Our republic day actually commemorates the date when our constitution came into force forming an Independent public. But friends! What does this day usually remind us? First, one fine holiday, sweets, T.V. programs and of course flag hoisting. But this is the day to think of and salute the great leaders who had striven hard for our celebration of today. Starting from Gandhiji, Nehruji, Bharathiar and many others who sacrificed so much for our Independence, we also have people like Sardar Vallabhai Patel and Dr. Ambedkar who helped to form our constitution. About our progress, even before Independence, we had placed our mark in some fields and after which our progress was enormous. We adopted the mixed economy system. We have produced world-class scientist like sir C.V.Raman, Dr. Abdul Kalam, mathematician Ramanujan, we have excellent sportspersons like Sachin Tendulkar.
